The Gore Range Gazette just launched its app on the App Store, Gazette. Developed in partnership with OCA Creations, the app lets users check up on the current happenstance of the Vail Valley, and search the archives for any article. A soon-to-be-coming notifications feature is in the pipeline too, and will soon be released onto the App Store. The app is only available on the Apple App Store, and will not be made available for Android. Why did the newspaper choose to develop an app for iOS? Though the website works on mobile, an app allows users to engage with content locally through a more custom experience, and provides the ability to send notifications – now you can learn about the breaking news as it happens.
